NBA legend Michael Jordan opened a clinic in his hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina, for uninsured and underinsured residents of the region.

Wilmington also happens to be Jordan's hometown.
"When a family is not able to support, we are there to support. [If] they don't have money, it doesn't matter. We are going to do whatever we can to support you because that's what happened to me. That's where I got it from, so..." the legend said at the opening ceremony for the clinic.
He was also seen visibly tearful because of his emotional connection to Wilmington, taking time to wipe his tears.
The Novant Health Michael Jordan Family Medical Clinic is the latest in the line of charitable endeavors of "MJ." In the past, he had funded two previous Novant Health Clinics and was involved in fundraising activities, such as the Michael Jordan Celebrity Invitational.
