Grizzlies' Desmond Bane out at least 6 weeks due to ankle sprain

The Memphis Grizzlies today announced that wing Desmond Bane hasbeen diagnosed with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain, which he sustainedduring the third quarter of the Grizzlies' Jan. 12 game against theLos Angeles Clippers. He will be re-evaluated in six weeks.

The team also announced that forward Jake LaRavia has beendiagnosed with a Grade 2 high left ankle sprain, which he sustainedduring the first quarter of the Grizzlies' Jan. 13 game against theNew York Knicks. He will be re-evaluated again in three weeks.

Memphis recently announced that Ja Morant will be out for theremainder of the season due to torn labrum in his shoulder. TheGrizzlies are currently 14-25, which is the third-worst record inthe Western Conference.
