Reports suggest that the Bulls are keen on retaining DeRozan and are expected to offer him a role and compensation that may not be matched elsewhere in the league.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, there is a strong "belief" around the NBA that the Bulls will make a compelling offer to secure DeRozan's services.
Throughout the past three seasons with the Bulls, the 34-year-old DeRozan has earned two All-Star selections. In the most recent regular season, he maintained averages of 24.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game over 79 starts.
Before coming to Chicago in 2021, DeRozan played for the Toronto Raptors (2009-18) and San Antonio Spurs (2018-21).
