Boston Celitcs coach Joe Mazulla highlighted the strengths of assistant coach Sam Cassell, who is being considered for the Los Angeles Lakers head coaching job.

"He's been at every seat on the bench. So, he knows how to communicate with every single player because he has been where that particular player has been," Mazzulla told reporters.

"The first thing he does when we get on the plane, he watches film. Even though he's a former player, he's a guy who wants to study the game and learn the game. He's loyal, communicates well, he's a good coach, great coach."
Cassell is a former NBA player, who won three championships in his career. He has also been an assistant coach in the past for the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Clippers, and Philadelphia 76ers.
Apart from Cassell, other top candidates for the Lakers head coaching vacancy are ESPN analyst JJ Redick and Miami Heat assistant coach Chris Quinn.
