Next season’s Euroleague teams set in a Board meeting / News - Basketnews.com
On June 18 the Euroleague Commercial Assets’ (ECA) Executive Board members held a meeting in Barcelona and discussed several important topics related to the upcoming season. 18 participating teams were set as two EuroLeague long-term licenses were granted to Bayern Munich and ASVEL Villeurbanne, while Zenit St Petersburg, ALBA Berlin and Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade received wild card invitations. Last season's EuroCup finalists – UNIKS Kazan and AS Monaco – entered the EuroLeague via promotion/relegation system.

These regulations refer to the maximum amount that the shareholders are allowed to contribute to club's total budget. Shareholder contribution limitations were increased in order to allow teams for a better navigation of post-pandemic financials. It was decided that financial limitations to be increased at 55% for the 2021-22 season (instead of 50%) and 50% for 2022-23 season (instead of 40%).
