EuroLeague champions bring back Moerman for another year / News - Basketnews.com

Adrien Moerman will return to the EuroLeague champion Anadolu Efes Istanbul next season, as both sides reached reached an agreement on a new deal.

After falling short in the EuroLeague finals in 2019, Moerman (2.02 meters, 32 years old) helped Anadolu Efes win its first EuroLeague title this year. In his three seasons with Efes, the power forward also won Turkish League titles (2019 and 2021).

Last season Moerman averaged 6.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 8.5 PIR in 41 EuroLeague games (20 MPG), and 14.5 points, 8 rebounds and 19.4 PIR, while appearing in 21 Turkish League games (27 MGP).

Moerman started his career in his native France, playing for Chorale Roanne, Nanterre 92, Entente Orlanaise and SLUC Nancy. The forward later played in Spain (Bilbao Basket and FC Barcelona), Turkey (Banvit Bandirma and Darussafaka Istanbul) and France again (CSP Limoges).

His personal trophy case includes two French League titles (Roanne in 2007 and Limoges in 2015), French Cup (Orleans in 2010), Spanish Cup (Barcelona in 2018). Moerman also helped carry Bilbao to the EuroCup Championship Game in 2013, where the team fell short to Lokomotiv Kuban.

He has also been a member of multiple French junior national teams and made his debut in the senior national team in 2016. He led France to gold medals at the 2004 U16 European Championships and the 2006 U18 European Championships, and also collected a bronze medal at the 2007 U19 World Cup.
