Optimism in Phoenix: Suns hope Paul will make a return in Game 3 / News - Basketnews.com
After a fantastic win in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns might welcome another great news.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Dave McMenamin, Suns are hopeful that All-Star point guard Chris Paul might make a return in Game 3.
Paul, 36, missed first two games of the Western Conference finals against the Clippers due to NBA’s health and safety protocols. It’s been 6 days since Paul tested positive for Covid-19 and league’s health and safety protocol requires to stay in isolation from 10 to 14 days, however, NBA has different standards for vaccinated players.
According to ESPN and Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, Paul is currently asymptomatic and isolating in Los Angeles. However, Duane Rankin from azcentral.com reports that Paul has been experiencing fever symptoms, which would make the return of Suns veteran unlikely.
Suns currently have a 2-0 lead against the Clippers and Game 3 in Los Angeles is scheduled on Thursday night (Friday 3AM CET).
In this postseason Paul played 10 games and currently averages 15.7 points, 8.7 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game.
