NBA fines Marcus Morris $15,000 for cursing at referee

Los Angeles Clippersforward Marcus Morris Sr. has been fined $15,000 for directinginappropriate language toward a game official, it was announcedtoday by NBA Executive Vice President and Head of BasketballOperations Joe Dumars.

The incident occurred atthe conclusion of the Clippers’ 128-115 loss to the MinnesotaTimberwolves on January 6 at Target Center.

This season, Morris isaveraging 13.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 threes and 1.7 assists in29.4 minutes per game.

The Clippers are 21-21,which is the sixth-best record in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles boasts theNBA's eighth-best defense (allowing 109.1 points per 100possessions), but their offense is ranked 27th in the league(scoring just 108.2 points per 100 possessions).
