Before the 2017-18 season, Schroder signed a four-year $70 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks. After that, however, the German international was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder and later on – to the Lakers.
In the 2020-21 regular season, Schroder was a starting point guard for the Lakers and averaged 15.4 points, 5.8 assists, and 3.5 rebounds.
However, his stat line in the playoffs dipped to 14.3 points, 2.8 assists, and 3 rebounds.
