Venezuela (1-1) almost let their lead slip away, but managed to secure a win against Korea (0-1) 94-80 (27-18, 29-20, 14-28, 24-14).

Korea was no match for Venezuela right from the start. South American team started the game strongly and shot with incredible accuracy from 3-point range (10 for 15), eliminating any and all chances of a competitive battle. The team's biggest lead was up to 20 points midway through the second quarter. Korea, also, turned the ball over nine times in the first half. Teams went into halftime with numbers on the scoreboard showing 56-38.

However, Venezuelans came out for the second half too relaxed, perhaps. Korea, behind 3-pointers from Daesung Lee and Hyunjung Lee, managed to cut their deficit to one. But Venezuela righted their ship in the fourth quarter and secured their first victory of the tournament.

Heissler Guillent led Venezuela with 17 points,Pedro Chourio andMichael Carrera added 16 each.

Hyunjung Lee was Korea's top scorer with 18 points.
