After the difficult win against the Philippines on Wednesday night, Serbian NT head coach Igor Kokoskov gave a quick update about the health situation of some of his players in the press conference. I don't know his status. I just wish him a speedy recovery and I'd love to have him again as soon as possible," Kokoskov said.
The coach was also asked about the conditions of the other three guys that didn't play: Vasilije Micic, Nikola Kalinic, and Nemanja Bjelica. "Micic was dealing with some shoulder pain in the game against the Dominican Republic, he finished the game through the pain. Tonight he was available but we decided to let him rest a little bit. With Nikola and Nemanja we're going day-to-day to see the situation. Bjelica was hit in the knee during the last game and was experiencing some pain. Kalinic was the subject of a very hard foul, I think it was unsportsmanlike. We're gonna evaluate their condition, we have a great medical staff, they know the players and their situation".
With the injury suffered by Jovic, which looked pretty serious, coach Kokoskov might have to finish the tournament with a very short rotation.
