Derrick Lewis delivered a jaw-dropping knockout to cap off UFC St. Louis on Saturday, and then seconds later put on another show for the audience in attendance.

Following a back-and-forth start to his fight with Rodrigo Nascimento, Lewis unloaded a massive right hand that blasted the Brazilian in the third round and sent him down to the ground. Lewis continued unloading punches until the referee had no choice but to stop the fight and prevent Nascimento from taking any further damage.

The end came at 49 seconds in the third round.

As soon as the fight ended, Lewis disrobed by taking off his shorts and using them to fan Nascimento back to consciousness as he received medical attention on the canvas. Lewis followed that up by tossing his athletic cup over to the media table and then dropping his underwear to moon the St. Louis crowd with a big smile on his face.

“I appreciate St. Louis for letting me show my naked ass tonight,” Lewis said following the knockout win. “I couldn’t let no taxi cab driver from Brazil beat me. This is my first time ever hearing of that guy. Ain’t no way I could let someone like that beat me.”

Lewis wasted no time trying to overwhelm Nascimento as he immediately came forward, landed an early takedown, and then worked from the clinch to open the first round. Nascimento eventually broke free and then had to duck and dodge some heavy punches from Lewis on the feet.

Rather than trade punches with a noted knockout artist, Nascimento grabbed Lewis and tossed him down to the ground, then rained down punches and elbows. Nascimento briefly advanced into the mount, but Lewis bucked him off and ended up on top just before time expired in the opening round.

On the restart, Lewis began headhunting with huge punches, looking to decapitate Nascimento with every single shot thrown. Nascimento weathered the storm, but he also allowed Lewis to control the pace while opening up with an offensive onslaught.

Late in the second round, Nascimento finally regained momentum after a Lewis slip allowed him to take the back and then chip away at him with some late ground strikes. Through 10 minutes, it was anybody’s fight, but Lewis had no desire to let the action extend much further.

Lewis opened the third round with an aggressive combination that concluded with a vicious right hand that thudded off Nascimento’s head. The Brazilian immediately crumbled to the ground, with Lewis quickly jumping on top of him to continue delivering punishment until the referee stopped the fight.

After spending nearly 25 minutes stuck under Jailton Almeida in his previous outing, Lewis got back to his winning ways with a signature performance at UFC St. Louis.

“I’m going to sit my Black ass down for a second. I’m getting too old for this shit,” Lewis joked when asked about what comes next. “I’m in my prime, but you didn’t see that shit. You don’t see too many almost 40 year olds doing that shit like that.”
