34-year-old Novica Velickovic announced his retirement during a press conference in Belgrade, Serbia.

After the latter season, Velickovic signed with Real Madrid, where he played for three seasons. Later, the Serb represented Mega Vizura Belgrade, Brose Baskets Bamberg, and Trabonzospor.
In 2015, Velickovic made his return to Partizan and spent his last six seasons with the team.
Velickovic has won numerous awards during his career, including the 2009 EuroLeague Rising Star trophy, 2009 Serbian Super League regular season, playoffs, and finals MVP awards.
He has also raised three Adriatic League trophies, five Serbian League and Serbian Cup trophies, and the Spanish King's Cup.
Velickovic played in eight EuroCup games last season, averaging 5.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 4.8 EFF over 12 minutes. In the ABA League, he accounted for 4.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 6.2 EFF over 12.7 minutes.
