After defeating the USA in their first friendly match, Nigeria has not slowed down. Mike Brown's team beat Argentina 94-71 (17-19, 26-14, 31-22, 20-16) in Las Vegas.
Nigeria took over in the second half. After Josh Okogie's drive, Gabe Vincent's two, and K.Z. Okpala's three, the African team gained a 15-point advantage (54-39).
The Nigerians ended the third quarter on a 7-0 run and led by 19 going into the final period (74-55). They gained their largest lead in the fourth (86-60) and cruised to a victory.
Jahil Okafor led Nigeria with 15 points and seven rebounds. Precious Achiuwa added 12 points and seven boards, Josh Okogie and Chimezie Metu both supplied 10.
For Argentina, 20-year-old Leandro Bolmaro scored 10 points. However, no other Argentinian player was able to crack double-digits. Luis Scola had nine, Marcos Delia, Luca Vildoza, Patricio Garino, and Nicolas Laprovittola added eight points each.
