Umana Reyer Venice announced the signing of point guard Tarik Phillip to a multi-year deal.

Phillip graduated from the University of West Virginia in 2017. The 1.91 m guard started his professional career in Hungary, played in the second Spanish division and the NBA G League.

The 27-year-old started last season with Hapoel Jerusalem. However, he quickly moved to Tofas Bursa, where he finished the year.

Phillip averaged 14.1 points, 4.0 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 15.1 EFF in the Basketball Champions League last season. He accumulated 13.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 17.0 EFF in the Basketball Super League.

Phillip's new team in Venice will compete in Group B of the EuroCup next year. They will face Virtus Bologna, Promitheas Patras, Gran Canaria, Buducnost Voli Podgorica, Valencia Basket, Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana, Mincidelice JL Bourg En Bresse, Ratiopharm Ulm, and Frutti Extra Bursaspor. Umana Reyer will open their season in France with a game againstMincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse on October 20.
