Basketball Champions League schedule announced / News - Basketnews.com

Almost two weeks have passed since the Basketball Champions League draw was concluded, and on Monday upcoming season's schedule was released.

24 teams will fight for 4 vacant spots in the BCL's Regular Season. The Qualification Rounds will take place from September 13 to September 17.

Meanwhile, the Regular Season will kick off on October 4 with a match between the two-time reigning champions San Pablo Burgos and Besiktas Icrypex.

That will be the only match on the tournament's opening day. More games will follow on October 5 and October 6.

BCL schedule for October 5:

Tofas Bursa v Filou Oostende (Group F) Lavrio Megabolt v JDA Dijon (Group C) Igokea v PAOK (Group E) MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg v Dinamo Sassari (Group A) Hapoel Jerusalem v Pinar Karsiyaka (Group B) Winners of Qualifying Tournament No. 4 v Lenovo Tenerife (Group A) Winners of Qualifying Tournament No. 2 v VEF Riga (Group D)

BCL schedule for October 6:

Falco Szombathely v AEK (Group D) Galatasaray v ERA Nymburk (Group E) Nizhny Novgorod v Unicaja Malaga (Group C) EWE Baskets Oldenburg v Rytas Vilnius (Group H) SIG Strasbourg v Winners of Qualifying Tournament No. 3 (Group F) BAXI Manresa v Arged BMSlam Stal (Group B) Happy Casa Brindisi v Hapoel Holon (Group G) Winners of Qualifying Tournament No. 1 v Darussafaka Tekfen (Group G)

There are eight groups of four teams each in next season's BCL. The winner of each group will advance for the Round of 16 phase directly. The second and third-placed teams will face each other in a Play-In round to qualify for the Round of 16.
