LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne announced the addition to their roster. A deal with the American point guard was signed for the next season.

"We are very happy that Chris has chosen to join us, we have been following him since last year. He is a playmaker with great passing quality and is very strong in the pick and roll situations. On the other side of the court, he is able to defend in positions 1 and 2," said head coach T. J. Parker.

28-year-old (1.88) last season played for Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv. In the EuroLeague he averaged 7 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists (34 games).

Chris Jones scored a season-high 15 points in a win against Zalgiris Kaunas on November 12.

It was not too long before news of Jones' next destination became official. On July 10, 2021, he parted ways with the Israeli powerhouse.
