FC Bayern Munich announced the signing of Joshua Obiesie, who arrives from Wurzburg of the German League.

A 21-year-old guard signed a two-year deal with the Bavarian team.

“Joshua is a talented guard who has recently lost some time on his way. But he is now coming to Munich to prove himself anew in his hometown, to improve himself and to help the team,” said Bayern sports director Daniele Baiesi. “He is still young and accepted the new challenge with great enthusiasm. We are happy that we can now work with him on a daily basis."

“I still can't really realize that I'm back in Munich and have made it to Bayern,” said Obiesie. “I will try to do my best every day, with self-awareness and my way of creating above all. I know that I still have a lot to learn under Coach Trinchieri because that is now a different level on a EuroLeague team. But now I've had enough break and can hardly wait for it to start.”

Last season, Obiesie played 32 games and averaged 5.1 points on a 40.7% shooting beyond the arc.
