Anadolu Efes not issuing season tickets due to reduced capacity in Turkish arenas / News - Basketnews.com
The recent decision of the Turkish government regarding the indoor halls ahead of the next season is to have a reduced capacity of 50% at all events. This quota will apply to both EuroLeague and Turkish League contests.
Anadolu Efes, the reigning Turkish and EuroLeague champs decided and announced that they will not be issuing any season tickets for the 2021-22 season. Those fans who want to watch the games will do so by purchasing only a single-game ticket. It appears that the administration of the Turkish club fears that the possibility of playing many games behind closed doors hasn't been ruled out at all.
The full announcement reads:
"Turkish Basketball Federation games will be played with a 50% capacity. After that announcement, we are very happy to be able to have our fans back.
Our game tickets will only be sold online in accordance with the rules of social distance and hygiene, and our fans will be able to enter our hall with their digital tickets, taking the necessary precautions, as in previous seasons. In line with the guidelines of the Turkish Basketball Federation, we regret to share that we will not issue season tickets for the 2021-2022 season in order not to victimize our fans in view of any changes in capacity and/or playing without spectators.
All basketball fans, the EuroLeague and the Basketball Super League are waited to meet our team at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall."
