Sekulic: 'We shook the world, Doncic needs to be protected' / News - Basketnews.com
Slovenia's Olympic run ended with two consecutive losses at the hands of France and Australia costing them first-ever medals. But the team's head coach Aleksander Sekulic was not disappointed by the outcome of an effort that started 40 days ago, at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament held in Kaunas, Lithuania.

"Out of the four semi-finals, we were the only ones who played the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament. We had to peak then. It's hard to have another peak in an event like this one. But we shook the world, everybody was afraid of us. I know that. Everybody was afraid of Doncic and Prepelic. We were together for two months, and I'm proud of them," Sekulic stressed at the post-game presser.
However, the Slovenian tactician had another thing to say, which concerned Luka Doncic and his much-debated relationships with the referees. "This guy (Doncic) is playing against five guys every game, who are doing all sort of stuff against him. I understand it's frustrating for him, but he needs to be protected."
