Last season Luca Vildoza left Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteizto join the New York Knicks but his future with the NBA team remains uncertain. According to a report from Mark Berman of the New York Post, Vildoza's status with the team is shaky.

The Knicks drafted two point-guards in this year's draft: Miles McBride and Lithuanian Rokas Jokubaitis.

Especially Jokubaitis' situation might influence the case of Vildoza. The Lithuanian point guard will play in the Summer League with the team and if he does well, he might join the team right away. without staying in Barcelona for at least a season, as it was supposed to happen until a few weeks ago.

Knicks have also signed a former Celtic Kemba Walker and they also have Immanuel Quickley on the roster, so the point guard position might become a little too crowded for Vildoza. The Argentinian point guard has just arrived in Vegas after the Olympic Games and wants to prove his value: "I’m trying to work hard. I’m trying to show myself. I just want to show who I am. If after that, I can’t get onto the team, that’s OK. At least I gave everything," said the former Baskonia player.

His contract with the Knicks for the next season is worth $3.3 million but it'll become fully guaranteed only after the first game of the regular season.
