NBA Summer League: Impressive performance from Barnes, first win for the Nuggets / News - Basketnews.com

NBA Summer League continued with eight games on Saturday. No. 4 overall pick Scottie Barnes led the Raptors, while the Nuggets grabbed their first win.

Denver Nuggets - Dallas Mavericks 89-85

The Denver Nuggets (1-3) won their first Summer League game, leaving the Mavericks without a taste of the victory after 4 games.

Nah’shon Hyland, the No. 26 overall pick in this year's NBA draft, scored 28 points shooting 5 of 8 from the deep. Zylan Cheatham added an impressive double-double with 15 points and 18 rebounds.

Eugene Omoruyi led Dallas with 20 points, Nate Hinton had 19 points.

Atlanta Hawks - Miami Heat 94-90

Skylar Mays (50th selection of the 2020 NBA Draft) had 26 points, Jalen Johnson, this year's 20th pick in the NBA draft added 25 points and 7 rebounds.

Max Strus led the the Miami Heat (2-2) with 24 points making six 3-pointers, Turkish big man Omer Yurtseven had 21 points.

Philadelphia 76ers - Boston Celtics 80-100

Zach Auguste led the undefeated Celtics (4-0) with 18 points, the No. 33 overall pick in 2019 NBA Draft, Carsen Edwards added 16 points and 7 assists.

Philadelphia's (3-1) Isaiah Joe (No. 49 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft) had 16 points, Paul Reed had 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Indiana Pacers - Oklahoma City Thunder 95-61

This year's lottery pick (No. 13) Chris Duarte led the Pacers (2-2) to a blowout win with 19 points, Keifer Sykes added 14 points.

The Thunder (1-3) was led by Jaylen Hoard (16 PTS).

Charlotte Hornets - Toronto Raptors 79-80

No. 4 overall pick in this year's NBA Draft, Scottie Barnes, was the top scorer with 23 points, Precious Achiuwa (20th selection of the 2020 NBA Draft) added 18 points.

James Bouknight, the No. 11 overall pick in the draft, led Charlotte (0-4) with 14 points. Kai Jones, the No. 19 pick, added 9 points with 16 rebounds.

Cleveland Cavaliers - New York Knicks 94-103

Lamar Stevens was the top scorer for Cleveland (1-3) with 21 points. Matt Ryan had 16.

The Knicks had 3 players with 20+ points.This year's 25th overall pick Quentin Grimes scored 28 points, Miles McBride(No. 36 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft)had 23 points,ObiToppin(No. 8 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft) added 21.

Portland Trail Blazers - Phoenix Suns 70-79

Michael Beasley (No. 2 pick in the 2008 NBA Draft) led the Blazers (2-2) with 14, Emanuel Mudiay, who's likely to continue his career in Europe, added 13 points and 11 assists.

The No. 10 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, Jalen Smith had 17 points and 12 rebounds, Michael Frazier II and Kyle Alexander added 14 points each.

Detroit Pistons - Los Angeles Lakers 103-86

Saben Lee was a top scorer for the Pistons (2-2) with 22 points, Luka Garza contributed to the win with 20 points and 14 rebounds.

The undrafted Jordan Floyd led the Lakers (2-2) with 16 points, Tres Tinkle had 13.
