Partizan NIS Belgrade have kicked off their pre-season. The team held the first practice in Belgrade today and will travel to Zlatibor tomorrow to begin a training camp.
Partizan have made major offseason moves by signing big names like Rodions Kurucs, Zach LeDay, Kevin Punter, and Alen Smailagic. However, team coach Zeljko Obradovic is considered Partizan's biggest acquisition of the summer.
Obradovic previewed the upcoming season and was excited about coaching again: "Everyone here is glad because the Adriatic League will be very strong next season. I firmly believe that all the people who love basketball will enjoy the next season's games. I hope that we will be able to play those games in front of the fans. Anyway, we are in front of a very interesting championship."
Partizan will compete in the friendly Opatia Tournament from September 1 to September 3, facing Cedevita Olimpia, Cibona, and Pesaro.
The Serbian powerhouse will proceed with a match against Radnicki Kragujevac on September 7 before competing in the Istanbul Tournament on September 11-12. They will face quality competition, going up against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, AS Monaco, and UNICS Kazan.
The white-and-blacks are set to take on the reigning EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes on September 16, before making their last stop in Athens and playing against Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, Anadolu Efes, and Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv on September 18-19.
Partizan will compete in the EuroCup next season that tips off on October 19. Obradovic's team is set to face off against Hamburg Towers in Germany on opening night.
