Panathinaikos pushing to sign former NBA slam dunk champion / News - Basketnews.com

Panathinaikos OPAP Athens and Jeremy Evans are in advanced talks, according to George Zakkas of SDNA.gr.

Evans was selected with the 55th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. In the NBA, he played with Utah (2010-15), the Dallas Mavericks (2015-16), and the Atlanta Hawks (2018). His career averages in the strongest basketball league are 3.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in 250 games.

The 33-year-old (2.06) had his first stint in Europe with Khimki Moscow Region in 2016. He also represented Darussafaka Istanbul and AX Armani Exchange Milan. With the latter team, Evans won third place in the EuroLeague last season.

The 2012 NBA slam dunk champion averaged 2.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in 11 EuroLeague contests with the Italian squad.
