Partizan Belgrade sign Israeli point guard Yam Madar to a three-year deal / News - Basketnews.com
Serbian powerhouse Partizan Belgrade just made official their seventh addition of the summer with the signing of Israeli point guard Yam Madar. The 20-year-old player has signed a three-year deal with the club after spending the Summer League with the Boston Celtics. Madar was drafted by the Celtics in the 2020 NBA Draft with the 47th pick overall.
In the last season with Hapoel Jerusalem, Madar averaged 17.1 points, 5.2 assists, and 3 rebounds per game. With Partizan, the point guard will wear jersey no.41. The decision to acquire Madar from Hapoel was strongly advised by both coach Zeljko Obradovic and GM Zoran Savic, a source told Basketnews.
Madar is the second addition in the backcourt after the arrival of American combo guard Dallas Moore, who spent the past season in China. Partizan is expected to add another couple of players before finalizing the roster for the next season, a source told Basketnews. One target for the frontcourt remains big man Ed Davis, according to a source.
