UNICS Kazan is finishing building their backcourt. According to BasketNews sources, Italian point guard Marco Spissu is in advanced negotiations with the VTB League runner-up and the deal is very likely to happen.

Spissu (26, 1.84) signed a two-year contract with Unicaja Malaga this summer. But he failed to pass the medical examination, and the deal broke apart.
The playmaker spent the last four seasons with Dinamo Sassari. He averaged 12.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 5.4 assists last year in Serie A.
He was a part of an Italian National Team, which made it to the Tokyo Olympic Games. Spissu didn't play much, spending only 5 minutes on the court against Australia.
However, Spissou led his National Team to win Group B of FIBA EuroBasket 2022 Qualifiers.1.84 m point guard averaged 12.7 points (3FG 43.3%), 2.7 rebounds, and 7.7 assists. He was the most efficient Italian player in the tournament (EFF 17.2).
UNICS will have Lorenzo Brown, Isaiah Canaan, Viacheslav Zaytsev, and Artem Komolov alongside Spissu on their backcourt the following season.
