Partizan NIS Belgrade are set to part ways with guard Marcus Paige, per SDNA.gr.
"Marcus Paige is not in our preparation. His status is different. I have never talked to Zoran Savic (Partizan's sports director) about his stay," Zeljko Obradovic said regarding the 27-year-old playmaker.
The American guard with Serbian citizenship has been a member of Partizan since 2018. Last season he averaged 9.6 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 16 EuroCup games. In the Adriatic League, Paige registered 8.7 points and 1.5 assists per 22 contests.
The 1.83-meter point guard was selected with the 55th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets.
On August 1, 2017, Paige signed a two-way contract with the Charlotte Hornets. He split time between the Hornets and their G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm. In the NBA, Paige averaged 2.4 points per 5 matches.
This summer Partizan Belgrade made serious moves on the market. They strengthened the guard line with the acquisitions of Kevin Punter, Dallas Moore, Aleksa Avramovic, and Yam Madar.
