He's a versatile player and his physicality will definitely help us over the season."
Mitoglou won't be the first Greek player in the history of Milan but he wants to build his own legacy: "Thank you guys for the comparison with Antonis Fotsis, he's a legend. But I'm trying to build my own legacy and I know that here in Milan I have to win to leave a good impression, that's my goal. Ettore Messina was one of the main factors that convinced me to join the team. He's a great coach and I think that my game can improve a lot from him."
As a versatile player, Mitoglou can cover different positions and said he would be ready to do whatever the coach was going to ask him. "I played many roles in my career so far, I even played as a 3, but in the conversations that I had with coach Messina he envisioned me more like a 4-5 type of player but I'm ready to help in any way I can," elaborated 25-year-old Greek. "I think I can give my contribution to the team in many different ways and bring a lot of energy to the table".
When asked about the transfer market, the big man admitted that he was impressed by the moves made by the Spanish and Turkish teams over the summer. "I believe that Baskonia and Fenerbahce are gonna be two very dangerous teams because they did a good job on the market. Of course, I hope that Milan will be the strongest team," finished the newest member of Olimpia.
AX Armani Exchange kicked off their training camp on August 23. The team will start its marathon of friendly matches in Milan with a game againstPallanestro Cantu on August 28.
