The 26-year-old admitted that he couldn't turn down such an opportunity: "This is a big opportunity for me. I'm here in a big club with a lot of ambitions and tradition, I'll have the chance to compete at a high level. This is a great organization and I don't want to let them down."
"I think my defensive energy and versatility is something that I'll definitely bring to the table," Hall said during the press conference. "Probably where I need to improve is in reading better some situations at times but with guys like Sergio Rodriguez and Malcolm Delaney in the backcourt, I believe that I can learn a lot from them."
When asked about the NBA and that his versatility might have actually hurt his chances of staying there, Hall didn't dwell on the past. "Great question, in some ways I believe that's true, the fact that I didn't have a specific role might have hurt me a bit, because NBA now has a certain preference for specialists. But I also know that my versatility is a quality that is really appreciated here in Europe and coach Messina believes the same. So this is a problem that I'm not thinking about it right now. All my focus is on Milan, not on the NBA."
AX Armani Exchange kicked off their training camp on August 23. The team will start itsmarathon of friendly matches in Milan with a game againstPallanestro Cantuon August 28.
