French swingman Isaia Cordinier is expected to travel to the USA on Sunday to work out for the Brooklyn Nets in hopes of getting an invitation to their training camp, according to a report from Dylan De Abreu. The player, still without a team for next season, considers the NBA his top priority.

Originally drafted by the Atlanta Hawks (44th overall) in the 2016 NBA Draft, Cordinier's draft rights were traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2018. Since then, the Nets have kept an eye on the French player. The past season with Nanterre 92, Cordinier averaged 15.8 points while shooting 45% from 3-point in the EuroCup.

The European market for Cordinier has been strong over the past few months but so far the player has maintained his intention on giving the priority to the NBA. That's why many teams that were initially interested moved on to other targets.

According to NetsDaily, the French swingman isn't a lock for the training camp. But the expectations around the player's camp are that he'll be a part of the training camp and will fight for a roster spot, a source told BasketNews.
