Arguably the best Russian basketball player, Alexey Shved, will not represent his country in any future international competition, Artem Komarov reports.

Shved's career with Russia started back in 2006 when he was a member of the Russian U18 team. After ranking up to the senior team, he helped Russia win bronze medals at the 2011 EuroBasket.
The 32-year-old also carried his team to the 2012 London Olympics bronze, scoring 25 points in a decisive game.
Shved also wore his country's colors at the 2013 and 2017 EuroBasket. He led all scorers in both tournaments, earning a spot in the All-Tournament team on both instances.
2017 was the last year he represented the Russian NT.
