Ricky Rubio has been a member of four different NBA teams during the last year alone. Starting out as a member of the Phoenix Suns, he was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in a trade involving Chris Paul in November. Two days later, Rubio was traded to Minnesota.

During the Tokyo Olympics, where Rubio was the clear-cut leader for Spain, he was traded again. This time, to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Rubio spoke to Marca and shared his thoughts about being moved so much in the NBA.

"I am a little tired of so much change. In the end, a player like me who likes stability, especially now that I have a family that also needs it. But in the end, I've been in the NBA for ten years now, and I know how it works."

Rubio also spoke about the amount of time he believes is needed to fully adjust to a new franchise: "To know the team, the teammates, the coach's system... This takes time. In a year, it is not enough to adapt to it, but we know that we live in a professional world that is like that, and one must adapt."

However, the 30-year-old is optimistic about the future and doesn't shy away from the challenge of mentoring young players on the youthful Cavs squad.

"I have no problem with that, I've been in the NBA for ten years, and I know how a veteran or a young locker room works. One that has reached the playoffs and has reached the first round and other things. This does not scare me. I'm looking forward to seeing what my role will be like there."

Rubio was also asked about potentially leaving the NBA and all its drama behind to return to Europe. The point guard didn't rule out any possibility and said he would decide once next season ends.

"I don't even think about it. When it's time for the season to end, I'll be a free agent and look at my options, how I've played, and what market value I have. We will value it together with my family to take the next step."
