Partizan cut guard that didn't meet Obradovic's criteria / News - Basketnews.com
Partizan NIS Belgrade will not continue their partnership with American guard Trey Drechsel.
Dreschel spent 12 days with Partizan during training camp in Zlatibor. However, he did not perform according to head coach Zeljko Obradovic's expectations, Telesport reports.
The 25-year-old signed a deal with Partizan in the summer of last year. Regardless, he did not represent the Partizan senior team and played in the second Adriatic League division instead.
There, the 1.98 m guard averaged 21.6 points (44.8% 3PT), 7.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.3 steals per contest.
Dreschel found a new team, however. He signed with Arged Bmslam Stal and will compete in the Basketball Champions League in the upcoming season. Their international season tips off on October 6 with an away game against BAXI Manresa.
