As reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Atlanta Hawks big man Clint Capela has agreed to a two-year $46 million contract extension with the team. The Swiss player had already a contract until 2023 with the Hawks so now he'll remain under contract with the franchise until 2025.

Capela is set to make $18.6 million in the upcoming season and $19.7 million in the following one. In the playoffs, where the Hawks reached the Eastern Conference Finals, Capela contributed with 10 points and 11.2 rebounds per game.

Capela, originally drafted by the Houston Rockets in the 2014 NBA Draft, was traded to the Atlanta Hawks in February of 2020 as part of a four-team deal. Since his arrival in Atlanta, he quickly became one of the key members of the team.
