Hamburg add final piece to their roster / News - Basketnews.com
Hamburg Towers have completed their roster for the upcoming EuroCup campaign. Caleb Homesley was the last reinforcement of the German club.
“I cannot wait to come to Hamburg. I am very happy to have the chance to possess my first experience outside of the US at the Towers. But I'm not afraid of it, in the end, it's basketball,” said Caleb Homesley. “I would describe myself as a versatile player. I want to win, so I give the team what it takes to be successful. I had a good conversation with Pedro Calles (head coach of Towers). He knows how to get us to be successful."
Last season Homesley spent with Erie BayHawks in the G League, where he averaged 9.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 15 games.
After the G League campaign, the 24-year-old (1.98) was rewarded with a contract with the Washington Wizards. However, since the deal was not guaranteed, the capital club waived Homesley on August 5.
Hamburg Towers will compete in EuroCup Group A. They will start the competition in a home game against Partizan NIS Belgrade on October 19.
