Euroleague reigning champions Anadolu Efes Istanbul and third-place finishers AX Armani Exchange Milan met in a pre-season game in Italy. The Turkish team won 95-83 behind the performances of last season's MVP Vasilije Micic, newly acquired big man Filip Petrusev and former Olimpia Milan forward Krunoslav Simon.

After a very balanced first half, in which Milan won the first two quarters and led at the half 52-46, Efes had a huge performance in the third quarter, closing it with a 30-9 run. Micic finished with 25 points, while Simon had 19 and Petrusev 18.

For Ettore Messina's squad, this was the second scrimmage behind closed doors. Olimpia played against Cantu last weekend and won by 30 points.

The top scorer for Milan was Sergio Rodriguez with 14 points. Both Nicolo Melli and Jerian Grant finished with 11 points apiece.
