On Saturday, FC Barcelona played their semifinal game of the AON Catalan League tournament. The EuroLeague runner-ups defeated Joventut Badalona 82-69 (14-18, 19-18, 32-14, 17-19).

Sarunas Jasikevicius's squad started the game with a starting five of Nick Calathes, Alex, Abrines, Cory Higgins, Nikola Mirotic, and Ibou Badji. However, the Barca was slow to shake off opening rust, as the quarter ended 14-18 in Badalona's favor.

Joventut opened the second quarter with a 6-0 run, increasing the lead to 10 points. But Barcelona answered with their own 8-0 run, which cut their deficit to two (22-24). Teams traded baskets for the rest of the quarter and went into overtime with a score of 33-36.

The second half saw changing of hands. Barcelona quickly went on a 10-0 run to overtake the lead. Rokas Jokubaitis initiated another run by recording 7 points and dishing 4 assists in 5 minutes. Barca won the third quarter 32-14, seemingly taking care of the game.

However, Jasikevicius was given a technical foul at the beginning of the fourth quarter and Badalona managed to produce a 5-0 run. But it wasn't enough as Barcelona held on to an 82-69 win.

Barcelona: Brandon Davies 13, Rokas Jokubaitis 11 (5 AST), Nicolas Laprovittola 10, Nikola Mirotic 9 (4 REB).

Joventut: Derek Willis 19 (9 REB).
