Valencia Basket defeated another Spanish club Herbalife Gran Canaria 79-72 (18-12, 23-21, 21-19, 17-20).

Both teams started out strong, but neither gained a solid advantage at the start of the first quarter. However, at the end of the period, Valencia made a 5-0 run that helped to take control of the game (18-12). In the second the oranges spurted again. The margin reached the apex of 13 points (34-21) but Gran Canaria were able to get back on track thanks to Pustovyi and Kramer baskets. Teams went into halftime with Valencia being up by eight (41-33).

In the third quarter, Rivero and Tobey organized another run but Slaughter kept Gran Canaria in the fighting distance. 8 points by Brussino accelerated the Gran Canaria offense in the second part of the quarter, though, Valencia handled the sprint. Before the decisive 10 minutes, Valencia were in front by 10 points (62-52).

Gran Canaria started the fourth quarter with an 8-0 run and decreased the deficit to just 2 points (62-60). However, Gran Canaria's unsportsmanlike foul and Claver buckets made it easier to breathe for Valencia.

After that, both teams exchanged successful attacks but Dubljevic's soul-crushing 3-pointer and a decisive stop closed the game.

Valencia: Van Rossom 13, Rivero 12, Tobey 11, Dubljevic 11, Hermannsson 9.

Gran Canaria: Pustovyi 15, Ennis 15, Slaughter 13, Brussino 12, Shurna 9.
