The game started with a duel between Emir Sulejmanovic and Vincent Poirier. The Bosnian scored 5 points, while the Frenchman countered with 4.

But Lenovo quickly found more weapons and took a seven-point lead after one (21-14).

In the second quarter, the offense was slow to develop for both teams. Almost halfway through the period, both squads combined to score only 10 points. The first half ended with Tenerife up by six (37-31). Lenovo were able to stay ahead with the help of 6 points from Marcelinho Huertas.

Guerschon Yabusele kept Real Madrid in the game with 7 points.

Tenerife did not lose their confidence during halftime, as they started the third quarter with a 7-4 run. With 2:36 to play in the third, Huertas converted two free throws and the Lenovo's lead grew to ten points (52-42). But Yabusele and Williams-Goss combined for six points to end the quarter, which allowed Real to close the gap to five (48-53).

Williams-Goss remained hot at the start of the final quarter. First, he converted all three free throws, then hit a 3-pointer, which allowed Real to take the lead (54-53).

With a score tied at 59 and 5:06 remaining in the game, Fabien Causeur provided a boost for Real Madrid. The veteran forward scored 8 straight points to give his team a lead. It ended up being decisive, as the Royal club held on to take a narrow victory.

Real: Guerschon Yabusele (8 REB) 15, Fabien Causeur (5 REB) 13, Nigel Williams-Goss 12, Thomas Huertel, Adam Hanga 8.

Lenovo: Gio Shermadini 21, Marcelinho Huertas (5 REB, 6 AST) 13, Emir Sulejmanovic (5 REB) 11.
