Real Madrid head coach Pablo Laso spoke in advance of the Spanish Supercup Final and mentioned the situation of Rudy Fernandez. The veteran forward was forced to exit in the game against Tenerife yesterday due to a knee injury. Several exams will be conducted in Madrid when the Supercup ends, but Laso believes that Fernandez's injury is not a serious one.

"Rudy is not going to play but it's not a big blow or a hyperextension of the knee. We believe is not a serious injury. We'll have more information tomorrow but I prefer to be optimistic and think that he won't be out for too long".

Fernandez, 36, is one of the most decorated players in Europe and this is his 11th season with the Spanish side. In the past Euroleague season, Fernandez averaged 5.5 points per game while shooting 34.6% from the three-point line.

Fernandez has also played in the NBA for the Portland Trail Blazers and the Denver Nuggets.
