Parker did an impressive job on the defensive end, protecting the paint in a very effective way and forcing Milan to a lot of contested shots.
The French started to build a sizeable lead in the second quarter, finishing the first half up by 10 points (40-30). Milan started the second half well and was able to cut down the lead to just 4 points but after that ASVEL imposed again their energetic defense and pushed Milan back to a 10-point deficit.
In the final quarter, ASVEL were able to control the lead, and, once again, the presence of two athletic bigs like Wembanyama and Antetokounmpo was too much to handle for Ettore Messina's side, who struggled to find easy solutions close to the rim.
Elie Okobo was the top scorer of the game with 18 points, while Victor Wembanyama finished with 9. Former Maccabi Tel Aviv guard Chris Jones provided 15 points to the French cause.
For Milan, the top scorer was Malcolm Delaney with 11 points, while Greek forward Dinos Mitoglou added 9.
