For Monaco, this is another signing that will bring more experience to a club that will play its first EuroLeague season. Thomas, as he explained to the official website of the club, is ready to be a mentor for the younger guys: "I think I can help the young players to evolve at this level and help them to forge themselves for the future. I'm probably the oldest guy in the roster, so leadership and experience are two elements that I'll bring to the table."
"Monaco already wanted me before I signed the deal with UNICS," Thomas added. "So when things didn't work out in Russia, seeing that the Monaco opportunity was still open for me was great. I think I have the necessary experience to adapt quickly."
