Report: a new team in the mix for Ben Simmons / News - Basketnews.com
According to ESPN reporter Brian Windhorst, there might be a new NBA team in the mix for Ben Simmons. The Australian forward wants to leave the Philadelphia 76ers and has asked to be traded. During an episode of 'The Scoop' podcast, Windhorst mentioned that another team, most likely a small market one, has come forward with their interest in Simmons.

Other NBA teams already in the mix for Ben Simmons are Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers, according to multiple reports. So far, though, any negotiation for Simmons hasn't reached an advanced stage, and one of the reasons is that several teams believe that the Sixers' asking price for the player is too steep.
During the last regular season, Simmons averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game. His relationship with the Sixers head coach Doc Rivers and the team's management, though, seems completely broken and trade looks like the only option remaining for the two sides.
