Howard Sant-Roos enters his second season with Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, but under different conditions compared to last year. The Cuban guard-forward renewed his contract with the Greek club until 2023 and on his team's Media Day, he referred to that development."I am very happy that Panathinaikos gave me the opportunity to be on their roster this year. They are a team with a huge history. I missed some things from my game last year because of the lack of a starting point guard. This year with coach Priftis I feel freer because there are several other players who can play on-ball."Asked about what's there to work on, Sant-Roos replied: "We have to do our best in every game for the coach, for the fans of the team, but also for ourselves. When you sign with Panathinaikos, you have to know the club's history. Our chemistry still needs work, we're a new team. We will work hard in practice, our goal is a daily improvement.

Our advantage is that we are very tough and our weakness is that we think too much on the court in order to help our new teammates. Coach Priftis's philosophy has been assimilated. Our coach is strict and a little bit crazy. He has a philosophy you must follow in every detail."
