Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz crushed the Romanian club, BC CSU Sibiu, 101-56 (22-18, 31-12, 29-12, 19-14) to end the pre-season stage.

Baskonia began the game with a starting-five of Granger, Kurucs, Giedraitis, Sedekerskis, and Nnoko but it was not an easy task to get an advantage. Sibiu's Tamulis hit 2 threes in a row and the Romanian club made an 8-4 run. However, Baskonia had a quick reaction. They organized a spurt thanks to Nnoko, Fontecchio, and the Lithuanian duo (Sedekerskis, Giedraitis) and gained 8 points lead (16-8).

Sibiu managed to answer with a couple of shots from deep (16-14). Then both teams exchanged successful attacks but Baskonia were in front by 4 points after the first 10 minutes (22-18).

In the second quarter, Baskonia kicked into a higher gear. After Marinkovic 2+1 the lead reached a double-digit mark (30-20).

The Basques locked up on the defensive end and further kept increasing the margin between the squads. After Fontecchio's efficient stretch at the end of the second period, the advantage reached 23 points (53-30).

Marinkovic, Baldwin, and Giedraitis continued to put on a show in the third quarter.

Baskonia's lead achieved a 40-points mark after 30 minutes of playing time (82-42).

Even though the fourth quarter was a mere formality, Ivanovic's men did not relax. They won a quarter by 5 points.

Baskonia: Steven Enoch 16, Rokas Giedraitis 15, Vanja Marinkovic 14, Simone Fontecchio 13 (8 REB), Landry Nnoko 13, Wade Baldwin 12 (6 REB, 4 AST), Jayson Granger 8 (6 AST), Tadas Sedekerskis 7 (7 REB).
