FC Bayern have announced their withdrawal from the Expert Jakob Cup tournament in Bayreuth, Germany, because of an unspecified number of positive Covid results among players. The tournament is set to tip-off on September 18.

To carry out further tests and prevent more positive cases, the team decided not to leave Germany.

Bayern were suppose to face SIG Strasbourg tomorrow. Their domestic league kicks off on September 26. The Germans are set to face other victims of Covid, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, in an away game on September 30.
