Cornelie was drafted by the Denver Nuggets in the 2016 NBA Draft with the 53rd overall pick. Since then, though, he has always remained in France.

Over the last 19 months, his numbers have consistently started to grow. Last season with Pau-Lacq Orthez, he averaged 14.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 34 French LNB Pro A league games, while shooting an impressive 44% from the 3-point line.

The 26-year-old also helped earn a silver medal for the France National Team at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. In three games, Cornelie registered 1.7 points, 2.0 rebounds while shooting 33.3% from the field.

The 2.11-meter forward has appeared in 14 games (seven starts) for three Nuggets summer league teams in 2016, 2017, and 2018, averaging 5.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.0 assist in 16.8 minutes per contest.
