During an Italian Supercup quarterfinal match between Virtus Segafredo Bologna and Bertram Tortona, Ekpe Udoh went down with a knee injury. While the extent is unknown, the injury is believed to be serious, as the player needed to be stretchered off the court.

The feeling around the medical staff of Virtus Bologna is that the patellar tendon might be involved but further tests and exams will be conducted tomorrow. In the post-game conference, coach Scariolo confirmed that is a very serious injury and he's not optimistic about the situation.

The injury happened during the second quarter of the game and coach Scariolo blamed the stickers on the court that might have caused the injury.

Udoh was one of the main signings of Virtus Bologna's summer but now it looks increasingly unlikely that we're gonna see him on the court this season.
