Green light: All Knicks players are vaccinated / News - Basketnews.com
The New York Knicks general manager Scott Perry has announced that all New Yorkers are vaccinated against the COVID-19. It means they will have no problem with the relevant legislation in New York for the unvaccinated people.
"I think it's a credit to our players, in particular, that they took this thing very seriously and took the responsibility to get that done. So, we're very proud of that fact, and we're gonna move forward," the NY Knicks GM said.
NBA has made it clear that vaccination is optional for the players but, at the same time, the Knicks - like the Nets and the Warriors - were in an awkward position due to legislation in the cities (New York, San Francisco) themselves. Certain lawsprohibit unvaccinated people indoors, meaning the unvaccinated players cannot enter the arena and compete in the games.
For example, the San Francisco Department of Public Health's order requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all participants age 12 and older at large indoor events.
