Panathinaikos OPAP Athens kicked off the Greek Basketball Super Cup with a semi-final win against Megabolt Lavrio 74-61 (23-21, 23-8, 7-17, 21-15).

Lavrio started the game well and led by up to four points for most of the first quarter. However, Panathinaikos forward Okaro White dominated, scoring 10 points and grabbing 4 rebounds in the period, helping his team to a narrow 2-point lead after one (23-21).

Panathinaikos stepped on the gas in the second period and gained their first double-digit lead after White's 3-pointer (39-27). Kendrick Perry added five straight points, Jehyve Floyd finished the half with a slam, and the Greek powerhouse had their biggest lead of the game going into halftime (46-29).

After scoring just 8 points in the second quarter, Lavrio continued to struggle in that department. They only had 2 points in the first half of the third quarter, but then the tides changed. Lavrio went on a 13-0 run to finish the period and cut their deficit to seven (53-46).

They continued their spurt to start the final quarter and quickly made it a one-possession game (53-50). However, Panathinaikos finally ended their six-minute scoring drought, re-gaining a seven-point lead (57-50). But Lavrio didn't give up and cut their deficit to four once again with under five minutes remaining (61-57).
